APPLE DAY(s) Oct 19 -22
Monday, October 21, 2013 7:00 PM

Apple Day is a fun, major fundraiser for our scouting group. Our youth offer people in our community apples and accept donations, which benefit our group directly.

WHEN?

WHERE? Youth meet at our headquarters at the Staples store in the Aurora Shopping Plaza, Murray St. & Yonge St., Aurora. You can do this during any of the times stated above. If your child is excited to participate, you can even come more than once!

HOW? Your child can load up on apples, a money tin and thank you tags, and then be assigned a location to distribute apples. Money tins must be returned to our "headquarters" and children will then receive an Apple Day crest for their efforts.

REMEMBER:

• To bring a fruit basket to hold your apples and a polishing rag.

• All our youth and leaders must be in full uniform. We are representing our group to the community and want to look our best.

• Please dress for the weather.

• Remind our scouts to use their best manners and to stay clear from storefront doors. VOLUNTEERS: are needed to help operate "headquarters"at Staples. This is a longstanding Scouting tradition that is a lot of fun.

Let’s help keep the Scouting spirit alive!

Santa Claus Parade
Saturday, November 25, 2006 5:30 PM

Download: Download Parade Info

We will once again be participating in the Aurora Santa Clause Parade on November 25th.  To make it a success we need three things - You, your kids and some stuff.  The weather looks to be great so it'll be fun.

We need you to help out Saturday morning with the float setup.  This can be for an hour or so or a little more and you can be helpful no matter how skilled you are.  We are going with a camping theme so we will set up an outdoor scene -winter and summer.

Which brings us to the stuff.  We need a few materials to decorate with.  We need a couple of fake Christmas trees, white sheets, lights, fake snow, and stuff like that.

And most importantly we need your kids.  We had a great time last year walking and waving and a large group will really make it fun and impressive.  Beaver age kids will need to have guardians present.  We meet either at the roadside in front of St. Andrews Plaza or by the float.  Details to follow.

Please put aside a little time for the setup and of, course come out and be a part of the parade.

Thanks.  If you are available or want more info please email tom or call 416 948 3968

POPCORN FUNDRAISER
October 4th to 25th

The annual popcorn fundraiser has arrived. This, and Apple Day are our only fundraisers. It should be noted that a percentage of popcorn sales profits go directly to our Pack. This money is used to help subsidize Pizza parties, Rock n Chalk and other outtings. The better our sales, the more the kids can enjoy. We look forward to having Pack A lead the way. Forms were distributed during our Oct 4th Meeting. If you need more forms pick them up at our next meeting. All forms should be in by October 25th.

Meeting Oct 25
Monday, October 25, 2004 7:00 PM

A couple of important Cub notes and updates:
POPCORN FUNDRAISING - Forms were handed out a couple of weeks ago for our last fundraising effort of the year - Popcorn. This is an important fundraising effort, especially for our PACK, as a percentage of all profits from Pack A sales, goes back directly to our group. We use this money to help fund outtings, Pizza nights and our famous Gizzle Auctions.

All completed Popcorn sales forms, along with payment in full are due back for this Monday's meeting. Please drop off your forms and payment to our popcorn parent, David Muir at Monday's meeting. Good Luck with selling and we look forward to having Pack A as the #1 selling group in 5th Aurora.

HALLOWEEN MEETING - This Monday's meeting is going to be our Halloween Night party. All Cubs are asked to come dressed in their Halloween costume. CUB CAMP - A reminder that our Cub camp is fast approaching. Please make sure you have a letter of permission, SIGNED BY BOTH PARENTS, and proof of citizenship (Passport or Birth Certificate) when crossing the border
