Spooky Hike Night
Monday, October 24, 2011 7:00 PM

The leaders will lead a frightful night time hike into the Case Woodlot  behind Light of Christ School.   We will meet in front of Light  of  Christ @7p.m. and the meeting will end at 8 p.m. for tonight only.  We will try to make it as spooky  as possible with ghost stories etc. as it  is close to Halloween. Be prepared to be frightened.  Please  bring  flashlights, proper foot wear as it may be wet and slippery, as well as  warm  clothing.

We  will  have a shortened meeting because the Scout leaders need to do  some planning for the coming weeks until Xmas and beyond.  We  will try to bring some of  the boys'  ideas  into the program.

Please do not bring you Nerf guns, as  the school is closed as it is a P.A. day on Oct. 24th. We need the gym for this activity. My  apologies.  We use the Nerf guns on the next meeting on November 7th.

Apple Day
Thurdsay to Saturday, October 13 to 16

Scouts Please try to attend on Thursday evening

Apple Day is a fun, major fundraiser for our scouting group. Our youth offer people in our community apples and accept donations, which benefit our group directly.

Thursday, October 13 2011 – 6:00 to 8:00p.m.

WHERE? Youth meet at our headquarters at the Staples store in the Aurora Shopping Plaza, Murray St. & Yonge St., Aurora. You can do this during any of the times stated above. If your child is excited to participate, you can even come more than once!
HOW? Your child can load up on apples, a money tin and thank you tags, and then be assigned a location to distribute apples. Money tins must be returned to our "headquarters" and children will then receive an Apple Day crest for their efforts.
REMEMBER:
• To bring a fruit basket to hold your apples and a polishing rag.
• All our youth and leaders must be in full uniform. We are representing our group to the community and want to look our best.
• Please dress for the weather.
• Remind our scouts to use their best manners and to stay clear from storefront doors. VOLUNTEERS: are needed  to help operate "headquarters"at Staples. This is a longstanding Scouting tradition that is a lot of fun.  Let’s help keep the Scouting spirit alive!

Apple Day
Thursday Oct 16 - Saturday October 18

We will be participating in Apple Day. Apple Day is a fun, major fundraiser for our scouting group. Our youth offer people in our community apples and accept donations, which benefit our group directly.

WHEN?
